Extraordinary art deco diamond, platinum and enamel earrings, French c1930
Each earring has a fire-engine red enamel egg with two crossing bands of pavé diamonds. In addition, there are 12 beautiful diamonds set into the upper portion of each earring. The largest are about 8 pt each, and all of them are excellent color (H-I). The workmanship and design are as good as it gets.
These earrings are art deco at its very best. They’re French, although they have no hallmarks. Exquisite pieces like this don’t come on the market everyday. It’s like owning wearable Fabergé eggs. (And by the way, they were worn to the 2005 Grammy Awards.)
Condition: Almost mint. There is one platinum arm holding one egg that is missing the black enamel. It’s almost not noticeable.
