Magnificent carved amethyst and baroque pearl earrings, c1880
These rare carved amethyst earrings are set in a combination of 18K gold and white gold. In the center of the faceted amethyst, there is a baroque pearl set in a gold star. Each earring has a total of three baroque pearls. The side of the loop has the French hallmarks.
Carved gemstones have always been treasured, but today they are becoming rare. The care taken by a master jeweler to create these is obvious. They are delicate but not fragile… truly elegant.
Condition: Excellent. No breaks or repairs.
