Rare Napoleon III lava cameo and mosaic necklace
Lava cameos are very collectable and valued, especially in France, where this piece was made in the mid to late 1800s. They are always in a single color with a matte finish. The colors are very neutral, such as off white, tan, gray, slate green, etc. This necklace is a rare Napoleon III piece, which combines the cameo with three micro mosaics and a wonderfully detailed chain.
