Sterling cannonball choker
Once a popular necklace in Victorian England, these cannonball necklaces have become quite hard to find, especially in perfect condition. They were made by hand around 1860. The beautiful links are connected to disks with a star motif. Then each “star” disk has a small silver ball on the outside. This one is marked “Sterling” on the clasp.
Although Victorian jewelry is often ornate, the cannonball chokers were clean, graphic and very classic. They have just enough detail to make them interesting, and the details are lovely and appealing.
Condition: Excellent. This necklace has the patina one would expect, but it shows almost no signs of wear.
Measurements: Necklace length is 16 inches. Each star disk and cannonball pair measures slightly over 0.25 inch. Total weight: 14g.
Price: $390.00
