Fabulous stemmed Murano glass bowl with gold inclusions and white swirls, c1950
This multi-layered scalloped bowl has two overlapping techniques. A layer of clear glass with a white swirl pattern overlaps a layer of glass with gold particles. The stem is a solid greenish glass with twisted ridges. This piece is unsigned but similar to the work of Ercole Barovier.
If you love fine Murano glass, this amazing bowl has much to love. It’s a rare piece because only the finest glassmakers had the skill for this kind of precision. The color is wonderful and subtle. This piece would be at home in many kinds of décor.
Condition: Excellent. There are some scratches on the bottom from normal wear.
Measurements: The bowl is 7.5 inches high and 9 inches wide.
