Mixed metal and glass, artisan-made frame, c1920
This lovely frame appears to be assembled from various parts. The dominant elements are golden yellow glass cabochons and brass leaves. The frame is square with a square picture opening of beveled glass. The square edges appear to be copper, and there are lumps and bumps of a very dark gray metal. The overall patina of all the metals contrasts very nicely with the glow of the yellow glass.
Condition: Very good.
Measurements: The frame is a 4.75-inch square with an opening of 2.75 inches.
