French art deco alabaster chandelier with fan-shaped sections, c1930
When alabaster light fixtures are beautifully designed and made, they are truly gorgeous. This is one of the most beautiful we ever seen. The crisp art deco lines and design are a work of art. But turn it on… and its warm glow is magical. This chandelier appears to have all the original hardware, including the very nice deco “buttons” on the alabaster panel. The fixture has been rewired to meet all the U.S. electrical codes.
This would be a wonderful fixture to light a hallway or room that needs a glow of light. Because the light aims up, you probably wouldn’t use it in a place that needs bright light. Its clean lines make it very versatile.
Condition: Excellent. The alabaster has a few scuff marks but no damage or visible repairs.
