Very collectable Boch Freres Keramis vase with flower design, c1930

The factory founded in Belgium in 1841 by Victor Boch has produced many beautiful styles of pottery. But the 1925 International Exhibition of Decorative Arts in Paris established Bosh Keramis (Charles Catteau Studio) as one of the most significant in Europe. Keramis pottery was very sought after in the galleries of Paris. This vase from 1930 is typical of Karamis pottery at its very best. This is the matte finish glaze with stylized flowers and leaves. The top and bottom are a rich blue/black. The piece is signed and totally as it should be.

No flowers necessary in this beautiful vase. Every side and every flower is a work of art. It’s not difficult to see why these were so prized in the stylish galleries of Paris.
