Seguso style case-glass jar with gold inclusions and controlled bubbles over pink, c1960
This example of Murano case-glass is perfect for collectors or as a wonderful accessory. The inside is a soft pink. Over that is a layer of controlled bubbles and a layer of gold inclusions. Depending on the light, the pink can be very soft. These pieces usually had paper labels, which were often discarded. There’s no maker’s mark, which is typical.
As a feminine dresser piece, this little jar is perfect. It could also become a wonderful bathroom accessory to hold Q Tips, which would stick out of the top like a bunch of white flowers. The piece is small, but the details are wonderful to look at.
