Mixed metal, art nouveau table lamp with water lily motif, c1900
This lovely lamp is mostly brass with areas of copper,,, and then there are four pewter leaves applied on the stem… two on each side. The base of water lilies is quite typical of the art nouveau era, but the geometric applied design on the stem gives the lamp a sophistication that one would only find on an up-scale lamp.
This lamp could be quite at home in many environments… almost any spot that could use a brass lamp. It’s very reasonably priced because it doesn’t have the original shade. But on the positive side, it’s more versatile this way. We will include the silk shade with the lamp, by the way. Mixed metal is very desirable these days, and this is a beautiful use of the three metals.
Condition: Excellent.
Measurements: The lamp is 25.5 inches to the top of the finial. The shade measures 10.3 in diameter.
Price: $550.00
