Citrine ring surrounded with seed pearls and enamel sides, c1880
The oval-cut citrine (approx 15 ct) is very clear and just a beautiful color. The seed pearls are so tiny that the workmanship is amazing. The ring is 14K white gold filigree with a yellow and blue cloisonné design on the two sides. The inside is marked with the makers, initials, “L&R.”
This is not your average Victorian ring. The combination is very unusual, but it works beautifully. It’s very feminine, yet it’s simple and eye catching. The workmanship is truly awesome.
Condition: Excellent. There is only a slight patina… less than might be expected for a ring of this era. It was obviously kept in a protected place.
Measurements: The size is slightly over 5.5. Total weight: 7g.
