Large red, yellow and black pot, c1960
All we know about this pot is that it came out of an estate sale. It’s probably American. By the look of it, we date it to the 1960s. Also, there’s just a bit of scuffing on the bottom, where you’d expect to see wear on a piece that isn’t new. It has no marks of any kind.
“Gorgeous” doesn’t even begin to describe this pot. If you like strong colors and interesting glazes, beautiful proportions… and have a place for a large beautiful work of art… this is a great find. If we had an artist’s name to put on it, we’d price it accordingly!
Condition: Mint.
