Early 20th century diamond and ruby ring, French c1910
At first you notice the stylized flower of early brilliant-cut diamonds (1.30 total ct, F-G color) set in platinum. The center diamond is slightly less than a quarter ct. Then you notice the band of channel-set, square-cut Burmese rubies that give the flower a boarder and accentuate the whiteness of the diamonds. The primary metal is 18K gold. There is an embossed design around the edge.
The stones are beautifully matched and craftsmanship of this ring is of the highest quality. It would be suitable for either a middle or third-finger ring. It is very feminine but not shy.
Condition: Mint.
