Carved coral and 18K gold hanging earrings, c1880
A long carved red coral drop is connected to a carved red coral ball by a detailed 18K gold link. These are substantial and elegant earrings made in France of the finest red coral.
There is nothing richer than beautiful carved red coral. These drops are reminiscent of the jewels of ancient Rome and Greece. Carved gemstones have always evoked a feeling of luxury. And these are so beautifully crafted that they are a true treasure.
Condition: Excellent. The top ball and hook have been recently replaced.
