Drop earrings of carved 18K gold balls, c1925
Three carved yellow gold balls hang from a hook… small, medium and large. They have meticulously formed cross sections with carved stars on textured backgrounds. Made in France, they are perfectly proportioned and wonderfully elegant.
These earrings are early art deco. You can see the geometry and lines that would soon become the deco trademark. They are amazingly comfortable because the balls are hollow. Try as you may, you cannot find any seams or flaws in the workmanship. They were crafted beautifully and will be a joy to wear and admire.
Condition: Mint.
Measurements: They measure 2 inches from the top of the hook to the bottom of the large ball. Total weight: 5g.
