Set of four D. R. Dimes museum-reproduction Windsor bow-back chairs, c1970

These beautiful Windsor bow-back chairs were handcrafted by Douglas Dimes in 1970. Dimes has been creating top quality 18th century reproduction furniture for over 40 years, but his most sought-after chairs are the Windsor bow-backs. While he models his chairs after museum pieces, over 20 museums across the country now show his chairs in their collection. They have even been auctioned in top auction houses, like Sotheby’s.

These are the model 1000, bamboo Leg chairs. While they have had 30 years of use… these chairs are so well made that age is not a factor. Much less delicate than the original Windsor chairs, many people prefer these originals. These are priced significantly lower than the going price for new chairs, although they usually sell higher than the original price in auctions.

Condition: Very good. The finish is a bit sun faded and has scuffs, as you’d expect.

Measurements: The overall height is 38.5 inches. The seats are 16.5 inches wide by 17.7 inches deep. The total width of the chairs is 21.25 inches

Price: $950.00 (Please allow us several days to get you a cost quote for crating, shipping and insurance. You account will be billed upon approval of the total cost.)
